Welcome
Dr. Kevern joined the UMKC faculty in August 2008. He obtained his BSCE from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2004, his Master's from Iowa State University in 2006, and his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 2008. His research interests include pervious concrete, sustainable construction using concrete, stormwater management, urban heat island mitigation, and green building.
He is a member of ACI Committeess130 Sustainability and 522 Pervious Concrete. He is a founding member of ASTM committee 09.49 for pervious concrete standards. He is a member of the ASCE permeable pavement task force. He sits on the Basic Research and Emerging Technology and Pavement Materials and the Urban Climate committees at TRB and is an instructor for the NRMCA Pervious Concrete Contractor Certification program. |
